Another X-mas surplus built. never got interested in restoring the landing gears, I got nothing to say about this airplane except that it's the most popular U.S. single seat fighter of World War II, despite the fact that it's primary use was in Europe and entered late in the war. There is no shortage in article about this machine everywhere, there is also no shortage in kits that you can buy locally. I believe that the Philippine Air Force (AFP) had the P51 on its arsenal during the early 50's, I also saw a locally produced full-lenght movie featuring this airplane when I was a real kid, forgot the title though.
